Future of ICT West Coast Project
Hello everyone
With Bernie now back in the “real world” of teaching, the ICT West Coast Project is taking a term’s leave until the start of next year. It will be extended at the other end. The Management Committee have decided to use this opportunity to review the structure of the project and there are some great ideas ‘in the pipeline’.
I’ll share those with you in the future and invite your feedback on them too. In essence, the key re-focus is to give greater ownership of the project to the lead teachers and schools…. and along with that… perhaps greater responsibility and greater rewards. This should also ensure that the project integrates with whatever curriculum focus you may be working on.
Lead Teachers & Principals please note that it is proposed that all lead teachers will require three full days of release for plenary lead-teacher days (Two in Greymouth.) ( February, July & October) Please note this in your planning for 2009.
We are still in the process of securing a facilitator for next year, and hope to have news on that soon.
Enjoy the last 6 weeks of term!
