BBC School Science Clips

This site has a  collection of science related activities and games for students who are 5 to 11 years old.  Students can grow virtual plants, experiment with pushes and pulls, hearing and sound, forces and movement, electricity, rocks and soils, simple machines, light, solids and liquids, friction, habitats, life cycles, changing states of matter, reversible and irreversible changes, forces, and much more.  The site is organized well, by age group, and has several activities at each level.

Ecokids

Eco Kids is a website with a great collection of ecologically focused games and activities.  Students can complete interactives on wildlife, climate change, energy, the North, water, waste, land use, and more.        There are also downloadable resources such as an eco-calendar and colouring sheets.

Illuminations

Another site with interactive resources for teaching Math. The site has activities for all age groups and also provides tools  like number lines, number grids, geometric shapes ( tetrahedrons, prisms, cubes etc), all customizable, and available to download and print.

Conceptua Math

Conceptua Math provides a list of free tools and videos to help teachers teach fractions. Each tool has an instructional video explaining how to use the interactive tools in class. To use the tools requires registering fro the site – though it is free.

Maths Manipulatives

This website has some really good interactive activities for teaching math up to year 8. It’s an online resource so is accessible to any computer, and can be used on any IWB.

It also has a number of tools to allow you to add text or freehand draw over the activities, as well as the option to print the screen your working on.

Game Classroom

Game Classroom is a one-stop web destination for accessing high-quality educational games, and homework help for K-6 students:
