Literactive.com is a wonderful literacy resource for children and teachers. The site contains a multitude of interactive story books and materials that can be used at home or in the classroom.
This site is geared toward pre-school through Kindergarten but would be helpful to beginning readers of any age.
The Kindergarten Guided Reading section contains leveled readers, nursery rhymes, and poetry books. Worksheets for learning ABCs and pre-writing are available for download in PDF format, and the Activities section includes numerous interactive games including memory and sequence games.
If you’d rather your child or student complete activities in a sequence, check out Literactive’s Road to Reading online phonics reading program. The Road to Reading contains even more literacy activities and would be perfect for a computer center.
