We’ve presented at the Christchurch kids congress for about the last 8 years and it is a fantastic event. We always train up five children to take our sessions, so if you need any presenters we’d be more than happy to pop over the alps

Quite inspiring… almost wish I was a primary teacher these days!

She is using a literacy focus… I get excited about blogging in support of other subjects too. Using IT to PUBLISH GOOD WRITING to an AUDIENCE about a RANGE Of topics that the student is inspired about… science… art…. history…. whatever!

Hi Theresa,
Thanks for being the first response to the bootcamp. We are very excited about the chance to deliver these camps to the West Coast where there is an interest. Just to answer your question the cap at 16 was a number that we felt would be manageable from the tutors perspective rather than hardware. We would love to see Parent / Child involvement and would consider calling that 1 unit depending on the response in the areas.
We are currently planning,and will list Hokitika as a definite site, we will know more once we have canvassed more people in the area as to the number and location for Hokitika. i will certainly keep you in the loop.

Hi Wayne – St Mary’s would be very keen to see a Boot Camp in Hokitika and, as Bernie suggested above, it would be good if places were allocated fairly between the schools in this region. Some questions we had: if a father/son or mother/daughter enrolled (and worked on one computer between them) could this be counted as just one participant? Also there might be people interested in doing the course but not necessarily taking a completed computer home with them (eg teachers) so could there be more than just 16 participants in these cases? Where do we go from here to ensure our region is selected for a boot camp?! Theresa
